Statement of Purpose
Our Mission at First Step II Childcare is to provide high-quality, affordable early education and care for any child in our community without regard for race, ethnicity, religion or socioeconomic status. Our program provides a safe and healthy atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.

First Step II Childcare serves children ages 2 years to 12 years, and our hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Partnering With Parents in Providing Care Services
Meals
The center participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and understands the importance of child health and nutrition. Breakfast, Lunch and P.M. snacks are prepared and served on site, offering a well-balanced, nutritious, meal pattern for all ages. All teachers promote a healthy attitude toward food.
Enrollment
Any parent who wishes to enroll their child will be asked to visit the center for a tour of the program; at which time, all enrollment, education, emergency medical provisions, and tuition information will be given to them. This information will be turned into the center prior to entry into the program.

Transportation
The center provides transportation for after school care and on field trips through the use of small buses. The buses are driven by staff members who have a current CDL and all applicable paperwork.

By engaging with our children, parents and volunteers in a proactive, supportive and flexible way, we create a sense of belonging.
